COLLEEN’S
AMBER ALE
Colleen and her pug, Elwood. 2003
Colleen’s Story
Colleen's Amber Ale has been a beloved staple of the SHHG since its introduction in 2013. This delicious beer was created not only to delight the taste buds of our patrons but also to support a meaningful cause. Named in honor of Colleen Tomchuk, the late wife of SHHG's managing partner, Colleen's Amber Ale represents the resilience and spirit of all women affected by ovarian cancer. Colleen Tomchuk was a remarkable woman known for her unwavering strength, boundless positivity, and deep love for her family and her cherished pug, Elwood.
For 11 years, we've been proud to pour Colleen's Amber Ale at our locations, with $0.50 from every pint going directly to The Alberta Cancer Foundation (ACF) for ovarian cancer research. Now, we are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in this journey of giving back. Our incredible local brewery partner, Blindman Brewing, is extending production from draft-only to 4-pack tallboy cans! Starting in late June, you will be able to purchase Colleen's Amber Ale in cans at all SHHG pubs and Blindman Brewery, with $2 from every pack sold going to ACF.
